Introduction
The Bachelor of Economics and International Finance programme combines two closely related disciplines as happens to be the practice in many universities around the world. The diverse courses on offer ensure that students are well-grounded in aspects of the two disciplines. This prepares them for careers in research institutions, NGOs, public administration, business journalism, diplomacy, among other possible career opportunities. Graduates of the programme will also become professional economists, financiers or business people. In a liberalized and open global professional environment these specializations will continue to be in demand and thus enable graduates to market their skills freely across countries.
The general objective of the programme is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the economics and international finance disciplines by exposing them to theories, principles and analytical techniques as employed world-wide. The specific objectives will be to enable students to:

Have exposure to economic and international finance issues relevant to contemporary life.

Acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for careers that require a mastery of the two disciplines through analytical and critical thinking

Communicate economic and international finance ideas effectively. Attain the training necessary for postgraduate studies in either of the two disciplines.
Applicants to be admitted into the degree programme must satisfy the minimum entry requirements for admission as specified by the University and the School. Applicants must be holders of:

A Sudan School Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE) with a minimum mean grade of B (Plain) and above or its equivalent with good credit passes in Mathematics, Economics/Commerce/Accounting, and History and Government in the SSCSE; or

A Diploma in a relevant field of study from WOI University or any other institution recognized by WOI University Senate.
